At the end of 2021, The Pain Collective established a fourth purpose-built facility – the fifth clinic in total. This clinic was originally located in MSC House – in the same building as the New Era Health day hospital (now called Cure Day Hospitals Foreshore). In November 2023, the clinic was relocated to the Portside Tower in Buitengracht Street, Cape Town.

Dr Nadah Karriem, a general practitioner with an interest in pain, is the resident doctor at PAIN Foreshore. The clinic provides access to a full interdisciplinary team. Dr Karriem utilises the ultramodern theatre facilities of Cure Day Hospitals Foreshore, with access to a full spectrum of laboratory and radiology services available at Netcare Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital. The clinic also has access to the multidisciplinary team of healthcare practitioners capable of addressing a wide range of medical conditions at Netcare Christiaan Barnard.

Dr Karriem also serves as the CEO of the Hesperus Initiative, the collective’s non-profit company. Her intention is to ensure that chronic pain management is accessible to people from all walks of life – supporting equitable healthcare delivery across South Africa.
