With practices in Panorama and Durbanville, NB Physiotherapy offers a holistic and evidence-based approach to managing pain and restoring movement.
Specialising in chronic pain as well as back and neck conditions, the practice combines the latest pain science with practical, hands-on treatment and patient education. At NB Physiotherapy, we believe that recovery extends beyond the physical. By working within an interdisciplinary team, we aim to address the biological, psychological, and social aspects of pain, empowering our patients to take an active role in their healing journey. Our mission is to help each individual move beyond pain and return to wholehearted living — with confidence, resilience, and renewed quality of life.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHYSIOTHERAPY SESSION
We charge 100% medical aid rates and claim directly for your convenience. Private rates also available and card facilities on site. What to wear: It is always best to wear active wear to your physiotherapy session because it usually involves stretches and exercise. When doing soft tissue treatment, we need to be able to be able to expose the area, so keep that in mind when dressing for your session. What to expect: Sessions can involve physical assessments, education, exercise, stretching, guidance regarding graded home programs and activity pacing, soft tissue treatment, electrotherapy modalities, relaxation therapy and counselling where necessary. Unfortunately, healing is not linear and we cannot guarantee outcomes or timelines - sometimes it can take a few sessions or longer than we would like and it is important to give yourself grace while going through your recovery journey and being open and honest with your treating healthcare team.
OUR SPECIAL INTEREST & CLINICAL FOCUS
Our special interests include chronic pain management and spinal-related conditions, particularly back and neck pain. We work very closely with patients on the Discovery Spinal Care Program, guiding them through evidence-based rehabilitation that supports long-term function and reduced pain. With additional training in Pilates we integrate controlled, mindful movement into treatment plans to enhance strength, mobility, and stability. We also utilise a radiofrequency nerve stimulator at our Panorama practice to support patients experiencing nerve-related symptoms and to improve overall comfort during recovery. We aim to create a safe, supportive space where patients feel understood and empowered, enabling them to move with confidence and return to wholehearted living.
